Yes, Karma: when you enter the compound you could almost be in India/ Pakistan. They’re Balushis and come from Baluchistan, now divided between present-day Iran and Pakistan. So while they’ve settled down here over generations they’re closer to the subcontinent than to the Arabs in their looks, customs, food and dress.
